Dr. Gibstein is a leading cosmetic plastic surgeon whose training and expertise set him apart. He is experienced in a wide range of plastic surgery procedures, and he is known for achieving exceptional results. Aside from winning numerous medical awards and receiving recognition from his peers, Dr. Gibstein has been noted for his outstanding work by the larger community. Dr. Gibstein earned his undergraduate degree from Clark University and went on to study at Columbia University. He earned his medical degree from Hahnemann University School of Medicine in 1988. Dr. Gibstein has completed an extensive amount of postgraduate training. He finished a five-year, general surgery residency at NYU Medical Center in 1993. He was a Vascular Surgery Research Fellow there from 1990-1991 and was Chief Resident in General Surgery from 1993 to 1994. He then went on to become a resident in plastic surgery at Harvard, Brigham, and Children's in Boston from 1994 to 1996. He also completed a craiofacial surgery fellowship during that time. Finally, in 1997, he completed an aesthetic surgery fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital in Miami Beach, Florida.

In addition to his outstanding scholastic accomplishments as a student, Dr. Gibstein has also been honored with academic appointments as a practicing physician. He has been a Clinical Instructor in Surgery and Executive Chief Resident in General Surgery at NYU Medical Center, Clinical Fellow in Surgery at Harvard Medical School, Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Miami School of Medicine, and Chief of Plastic Surgery, Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Miami Florida.

In terms of involvement in the larger medical community, Dr. Gibstein is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He has authored numerous publications as well.
